HOMEMADE Biscuits❤

Hey Y’all,

I posted a picture of my biscuits on FB, and had a few requests for the recipe. What better way to share than through a blog post!

*****PICTURE HEAVY POST*****

Ingredients:

2 cups Self-Rising Flour

1/3 cup lard/ butter

1 cup milk

Prep Time: Approximately 5 min

Total Cook Time: 13-15 min

**PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F**

Measure 2 cups of flour

I used a large mouth spoon to scoop the amount of lard needed.

Use a fork to mash the lard/butter into the flour.

The mixture should look similar to this picture after you have mashed the flour and lard/butter together.

Pour one cup of milk

Add the milk to the flour/lard mixture.

If you pour too much milk, just add more flour until it gets the desired results.

Lightly flour your CLEAN surface.

Scoop the dough mix onto the floured surface. The texture should be that of play-doh.

Lightly flour the top of your biscuit dough.

Use your pin roller or the palm of your hands to flatten the dough. Be sure not to play with the dough too much.

I use a small plastic cup to cut out my biscuits. Use whatever you like.

 

*****PAY ATTENTION*****

1.The oven should be ready since you already preheated it to 350°F.

2.Set your timer to 10 min.

3. AFTER 10 min, SET YOUR OVEN TO BROIL. SET timer now to 3 MIN. This browns the top of your biscuits. Keep checking so that it can reach the golden level of brown that you desire.

TA-DA! Once it has reached your desired results, coat your biscuits with butter.
