Pattern Description: Butterick B5353

Pattern Sizing:US Size 8- 14

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  No, it varied for the skirt.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the instructions were very easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the neck design, but I did not like the amount of ease given for the underarms.

Fabric Used:  Ankara fabric( 100% cotton ) and gingham

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:  I decided to make a gathered skirt instead of a pencil skirt for the bottom. I self-drafted the skirt from my measurements. I placed a dart underneath the arms of the dress. It had to be taken in by 1.5 inches! It was a huge gaping hole under my arms.  I really should’ve cut the 12 or smaller for the top portion of the dress.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? No, I think once is enough.

Conclusion:
This pattern was not difficult at all. It was simple to follow for any sewer. II got use the top portion again for other designs though.
